Most units only combine with identical units.
For example:
- 5 Bamboo only combines with 5 Bamboo.
- East Wind only combines with East Wind.
- Red Dragon only combines with Red Dragon.
Two special groups are more flexible:
- All Flower units can be combined with any Flower unit.
- All Season units can be combined with any Season unit.
Thanks to this rule, you have more options when the board starts to get crowded.
What Makes the Game Difficult?
The difficulty lies in choosing the right pair to discard first. A wrong decision can lock many important pieces at the bottom, leaving you with no moves even though you still have many pieces on the board. Conversely, if you always prioritize opening the upper layers and freeing up trapped areas, the board will gradually become clearer and your chances of winning will increase significantly.
